The Wasteland List: Audrey Hepburn Films

How often do you sit there thinking about what to watch? You might have an endless watchlist that keeps piling up (I certainly have one myself). Sometimes you are just in the mood for a type of film or a certain filmmaker or actor and want to take yourself into a deep dive. As someone who watches so many movies, I have people asking me for recommendations all the time. One of the best feelings as a cinephile is recommending a film and that person loves it. Take this wealth of cinematic knowledge and experience and enjoy some recommendations on me. Genre. Subgenre. Filmmaker. Actor. Composer. Writer. Genre. Story. Trope. Cliché. Any other cinematic elements or them. Here is The Wasteland List:

Audrey Hepburn Films

Roman Holiday (1953)

Who doesn’t love a great vacation movie? Roman Holiday is a film that captures the wonder of an ancient city like Rome and probably has done more for tourism than the nation of Italy itself. The intriguing dynamic between the charming Hepburn and the imposing Gregory Peck is quite something to anchor this cinematic experience.

Sabrina (1954)

What is the most common dynamic in the long history of romance on the silver screen? A great love triangle can go a long way with both romance and conflict (especially when a pair of brothers are involved). The trio of Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden make Sabrina quite the classic film.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

Can you get through some egregious casting and enjoy a classic film? If so, Hepburn is such a charming and infectious presence in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Fashion and romance are the key to making this charming classic film and a worthwhile cinematic experience.

My Fair Lady (1964)

What is the biggest musical in Hepburn’s iconic career? My Fair Lady gives Hepburn the opportunity to show off her grounded side along with such true high society grace. Rex Harrison joins Hepburn in this classic musical with plenty of iconic numbers along the way.

Thank you, Adam Ritchie, for the nomination!
